Nub theory explained: Predict your baby's sex at 12 weeks
If you've been told it's too early to find out baby's gender at a first trimester ultrasound, take a look a the nub theory: it's highly accurate from the 12th week of gestational age. Find out about the "angle of the dangle", and how to get the right ultrasound picture for seeing baby's gender at this stage. In early pregnancy, both boys and girls have a genital tubercle which will later become a boy's penis or a girl's clitoris. We call this the nub.
Nub theory – can you predict if you’re having a boy or girl?
Today I had my nt ultrasound. I am 12w 2d. The technician asked if I wanted to know what we were having. He said all babies at this age have a protrusion between their legs but you can tell the gender depending upon the angle of it pointed down is a girl, pointed up 30 degrees or greater is a boy. Has anyone else ever had someone tell them the gender this early?
